Genesis 50:15
When Joseph's brothers saw that their father was dead, they said, "What if Joseph holds a grudge against us and pays us back for all the wrongs we did to him?"
16:So they sent word to Joseph, saying, "Your father left these instructions before he died:
17:`This is what you are to say to Joseph: I ask you to forgive your brothers the sins and the wrongs they committed in treating you so badly.' Now please forgive the sins of the servants of the God of your father." When their message came to him, Joseph wept.
18:His brothers then came and threw themselves down before him. "We are your slaves," they said.
19:But Joseph said to them, "Don't be afraid. Am I in the place of God?
20:You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives.

Psalms 130:1
Out of the depths I cry to you, O LORD;
2:O Lord, hear my voice. Let your ears be attentive to my cry for mercy.
3:If you, O LORD, kept a record of sins, O Lord, who could stand?
4:But with you there is forgiveness; therefore you are feared.
5:I wait for the LORD, my soul waits, and in his word I put my hope.
6:My soul waits for the Lord more than watchmen wait for the morning, more than watchmen wait for the morning.
7:O Israel, put your hope in the LORD, for with the LORD is unfailing love and with him is full redemption.
8:He himself will redeem Israel from all their sins.

Hosea 1:1
The word of the LORD that came to Hosea son of Beeri during the reigns of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz and Hezekiah, kings of Judah, and during the reign of Jeroboam son of Joash king of Israel:
2:When the LORD began to speak through Hosea, the LORD said to him, "Go, take to yourself an adulterous wife and children of unfaithfulness, because the land is guilty of the vilest adultery in departing from the LORD."
3:So he married Gomer daughter of Diblaim, and she conceived and bore him a son........

3.1 The Lord says to me, "Go, show your love to your wife again, though she is loved by another and is an adultress. Love her as the Lord loves the Israelites, though they turn to other gods and love the sacred raisin cakes."
2: So I bought her for fifteen shekels of silver and about a homer and a lethek of barley.
3: Then I told her "You are to live with me many days; you must not be a prostitute or be intimate with any man, and I will live with you."
4: For the Israelites will live for many days without king or prince, without sacrifice or sacred stones, without ethod or idol.
5: Afterwards the Israelites will return and seek the Lord their God and David their king. They will come trembling to the Lord and to his blessings in the last days.

Matthew 6:14
For if you forgive men when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.
15:But if you do not forgive men their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.

Matthew 18:23
"Therefore, the kingdom of heaven is like a king who wanted to settle accounts with his servants.
24:As he began the settlement, a man who owed him ten thousand talents was brought to him.
25:Since he was not able to pay, the master ordered that he and his wife and his children and all that he had be sold to repay the debt.
26:"The servant fell on his knees before him. `Be patient with me,' he begged, `and I will pay back everything.'
27:The servant's master took pity on him, cancelled the debt and let him go.
28:"But when that servant went out, he found one of his fellow-servants who owed him a hundred denarii. He grabbed him and began to choke him. `Pay back what you owe me!' he demanded.
29:"His fellow-servant fell to his knees and begged him, `Be patient with me, and I will pay you back.'
30:"But he refused. Instead, he went off and had the man thrown into prison until he could pay the debt.
31:When the other servants saw what had happened, they were greatly distressed and went and told their master everything that had happened.
32:"Then the master called the servant in. `You wicked servant,' he said, `I cancelled all that debt of yours because you begged me to.
33:Shouldn't you have had mercy on your fellow-servant just as I had on you?'
34:In anger his master turned him over to the jailers to be tortured, until he should pay back all he owed.
35:"This is how my heavenly Father will treat each of you unless you forgive your brother from your heart."

Luke 17:3
So watch yourselves. "If your brother sins, rebuke him, and if he repents, forgive him.
4:If he sins against you seven times in a day, and seven times comes back to you and says, `I repent,' forgive him."

1 John 4:7
Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God.
8:Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.
9:This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him.
10:This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.
11:Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.
12:No-one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us.

Ephesians 1:3
Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ.
4:For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love
5:he predestined us to be adopted as his sons through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will -
6:to the praise of his glorious grace, which he has freely given us in the One he loves.
7:In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God's grace
8:that he lavished on us with all wisdom and understanding.

Ephesians 4:25
Therefore each of you must put off falsehood and speak truthfully to his neighbour, for we are all members of one body.
26:"In your anger do not sin": Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry,
27:and do not give the devil a foothold.
28:He who has been stealing must steal no longer, but must work, doing something useful with his own hands, that he may have something to share with those in need.
29:Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen.
30:And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.
31:Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice.
32:Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.

2 Corinthians 2:5
If anyone has caused grief, he has not so much grieved me as he has grieved all of you, to some extent - not to put it too severely.
6:The punishment inflicted on him by the majority is sufficient for him.
7:Now instead, you ought to forgive and comfort him, so that he will not be overwhelmed by excessive sorrow.
8:I urge you, therefore, to reaffirm your love for him.
9:The reason I wrote to you was to see if you would stand the test and be obedient in everything.
10:If you forgive anyone, I also forgive him. And what I have forgiven - if there was anything to forgive - I have forgiven in the sight of Christ for your sake,
11:in order that Satan might not outwit us. For we are not unaware of his schemes.

Colossians 3:12
Therefore, as God's chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.
13:Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.
14:And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.
